REVIEW: Cosrx Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser

Para arrancar, qué mejor que con uno de mis productos favoritos de cosmética coreana.

El famosísimo y amado (y odiado por su olor) Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser de Cosrx me prometía la luna y el sol. Veamos si cumplió con ello.

For starting with, what better than one of my favorite Korean cosmetic products.

The famous and beloved (and hated by its smell) Cosrx Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser promised me the moon and the sun. Let's see if it fulfilled with it.

• Reducir el sebo
• Limpiar delicadamente sin irritar (incluso eliminar el maquillaje) debido a su formato tipo gel
• Reducir poros
• Exfoliar ligeramente debido a la presencia de BHA 
• Pieles sensibles, secas, en proceso post-operatorio...aunque realmente está indicado para todo tipo de pieles 
• PH ácido (5-6)
• 150ml

Modo de uso: aplicar por la mañana y/o por la noche (si hacemos la doble limpieza, tras nuestro desmaquillante o primer limpiador) sobre la piel húmeda con un ligero masaje. Después aclarar.

• Reduce sebum
• Gently clean without irritating (even removing make-up) due to its gel-like texture
• Reduce pores
• Exfoliate slightly due to the presence of BHA
• Sensitive, dry skin, in the post-operative process ... although it is really suitable for all skin types
• Acid pH (5-6)
• 150ml

How to use: apply in the morning and / or at night (if we do double cleansing, after our make-up remover or first cleanser) on damp skin with a light massage. Then rinse.

El packaging es simple, en la línea de los productos de Cosrx. El bote es bastante grande, de unos 150ml, lo cual es muchísimo si tenemos en cuenta que con dos o tres gotas de gel nos basta. La tapa es resistente y fácil de abrir y cerrar. La boquilla viene precintada con el típico tapón plateado que asegura que tú estrenas el producto en óptimas condiciones.

La gran, GRAN ventaja de este gel frente a muchos es su acidez. Sí, el pH es algo muy importante a la hora de comprar nuestros cosméticos, cosa que en occidente ni pensamos pero que en los países asiáticos lo tienen en cuenta desde hace mucho tiempo.

Una lección rápida sobre este tema: la piel de nuestro rostro tiene un pH natural de alrededor de 4,5 y 5,9. Esto quiere decir que cualquier valor por debajo de 5,5 se considera ácido y por encima, alcalino. La piel posee una delgada capa de sudor y sebo que la protege ante las agresiones externas (véase polución, contaminación, el sol, las bacterias, etc.), esta capa es el manto ácido, el cual si se modifica o daña provoca efectos bastante malos en la piel: pierde luminosidad e hidratación y es bastante propensa al acné.

¿Por qué se puede modificar? Por muchas razones, entre ellas las que ya he mencionado pero también podemos añadir el estrés o lavarnos DEMASIADO (con dos veces al día es suficiente) o con productos INADECUADOS el rostro. Esto provoca que el manto se desequilibre y nuestra piel sufra.

Por todo esto, es tan importante deshacernos de la clásica idea de 'pH neutro' con la que seguro muchos de nosotros hemos caído alguna vez en el súper: 'anda mira, un gel de ducha pH neutro, seguro es bueno', o la idea de 'un gel para la cara con un montón de ácido salicílico (cofcofALCHOHOLcofcof), seguro me deja la cara sin nada de grasa'.

NO, querid@s, hasta las pieles grasas necesitan grasa y agua. Nunca pensemos que la piel grasa no necesita hidratarse, al contrario. Una piel grasa puede estar perfectamente deshidratada, debido a que no está balanceada (balance agua-sebo). Únicamente debemos tratar el exceso de sebo y no usar demasiados productos o no formulados específicamente para nuestro tipo de piel.

Tras este tostón, deciros que por mí misma no he comprobado el nivel de pH que tiene el gel de Cosrx (mis tiras están en camino desde hace mucho...), pero por lo que he leído en otros blogs, está alrededor de 5, número arriba o abajo, lo cual es perfecto. El pH que posee ayuda a dejar la piel en un nivel que la protege de forma eficaz.

Sus ingredientes en COSDNA. Por lo general, no se ve un producto demasiado peligroso, al contrario. La mayoría de sus ingredientes se consideran seguros.

La estrella de este producto es sin duda el aceite del árbol del té. Este aceite tiene un olor muy peculiar que no gusta a todo el mundo (y con razón, a mí al principio no me desagradaba pero tampoco me gustaba)

Pero también contiene otros componentes muy interesantes, como por ejemplo:

• Saccharomyces Ferment: antioxidante, antiinflamatorio. Principalmente aporta luminosidad (y tanto, ya lo podéis ver en la foto)
• Alantoína: cicatrizante natural. Acelera el proceso de regeneración celular.
• Betaine Salicylate: próximo al ácido salicílico, es un tipo de ácido graso que  hidrata y calma la piel, por sus propiedades antiinflamatorias y antibacterianas. También exfolia ligeramente.

Ahora bien ¿funciona?

Debo de decir que tras unos dos meses usándolo, estoy gratamente satisfecha. Cumple a pies juntillas lo que promete (me dio la luna y el sol). Es un gel transparente ligero, agradable en la piel, forma espuma pero no demasiada...

...y limpia perfectamente, tanto el sebo como el maquillaje. Como se ve en las fotos, ha eliminado de pleno la sombra y el pintalabios (de M.A.C, para que comprobéis la eficacia) y prácticamente también el eyeliner, aunque no sé si se podrá apreciar pero queda un levísimo rastro que no pudo eliminar (ignorad mi mano roja y fea, sufre con el frío). De todas formas, personalmente me gusta usar un producto para desmaquillar antes de usar este gel para asegurar la limpieza, pero me parece que si algún día se va con prisas o se está muy cansada puede servir para apañarnos.

Retirando el maquillaje // Removing make-up

La piel queda brillante y nada grasienta, suave y ligeramente hidratada. Es un limpiador eficaz, barato, suave y perfecto para pieles sensibles, mixtas o grasas. No he notado un cambio drástico en mis marquitas, manchitas, puntos negros o granitos, pero tampoco han empeorado. Los mantiene a raya si el gel complementa al resto de cuidados faciales.

A quick lesson on this topic: the skin on our face has a natural pH of about 4.5 and 5.9. This means that any value below 5.5 is considered acidic and above, alkaline. The skin has a thin layer of sweat and sebum that protects it against external aggressions (pollution, sun, bacteria, etc.), this layer is the acid mantle, which if modified or damaged causes bad effects on the skin: it loses luminosity and hydration and is quite prone to acne.

Why can it be modified? For many reasons, including those I have already mentioned but we can also add stress or wash our face TOO MANY TIMES (with twice a day is enough) or with INADEQUATE  products. This causes the mantle to become unbalanced and our skin to suffer.

For all this, it is so important to get rid of the classic idea of ​​'neutral pH' with which many of us have surely fallen into the super: 'look, a pH neutral shower gel, sure is good', or the idea of ​​'a gel cleanser with a lot of salicylic acid (cofcofALCHOHOLcofcof), sure to leave my face without any oil'.

NO, dear, even oily skins need oil and water. Never think that oily skin does not need hydration, on the contrary. Oily skin can be perfectly dehydrated because it is not balanced (water-sebum balance). We should only treat excess sebum and not use too many products or not formulated specifically for our skin type.

After all this, by myself I have not checked the pH level of the Cosrx gel (my strips have been on the road for a long time ...), but from what I have read on other blogs, it is about 5 , number up or down, which is perfect. The pH it has helps to leave the skin at a level that protects itself effectively.

Its ingredients in COSDNA. In general, I don't see any product too dangerous, on the contrary. Most of its ingredients are considered safe.

The star of this product is without doubt the tea tree oil. This oil has a very peculiar smell that not everyone does like (and rightly so, at first I did not dislike it but I did not like either)

But it also contains other very interesting components, such as:

• Saccharomyces Ferment: antioxidant, anti-inflammatory. Mainly brings luminosity (and so much, you can see it in the photo)
• Allantoin: natural cicatrizant. Accelerates the process of cell regeneration.
• Betaine Salicylate: close to salicylic acid, is a type of fatty acid that moisturizes and soothes the skin, due to its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Also exfoliate slightly.

Now, does it work?

I must say that after about two months using it, I am pleasantly satisfied. He complies with what it promises (it gave me the moon and the sun). It is a light transparent gel, pleasant on the skin, it forms foam but not too much ...

... and cleans perfectly, both sebum and makeup. As you can see in the photos, I have completely eliminated the eyeshadow and lipstick (from MAC, to test the effectiveness) and practically also the eyeliner, although I do not know if it can be appreciated but there is a very slight trace that could not eliminate ( please ignore my red and ugly hand, suffers with the cold). Anyway, I personally like to use a make-up remover before using this gel to ensure cleanliness, but it seems that if one day you go on a hurry or are too tired it perfectly can serve us.

The skin is shiny and not greasy, soft and slightly hydrated. It is an effective, cheap, gentle and perfect cleanser for sensitive, mixed or oily skin. I have not noticed a drastic change in my spots, little scars, blackheads or pimples, but they have not gotten worse either. It keeps them controlled if the gel complements the rest of facial care.
